The December Rogue of the Month is Darcy!

Give us a little background on who you are and what you do for a living…

I enjoy family, friends, lots of fun & laughter. Currently I work for the City of Medford, Parks & Rec. I am a avid Oregon football fan and love to play practical jokes.

How long have you been crossfitting ? How did you hear about RVCF?

Almost 2 years although I’ve gotten serious about it in the last 4 months. My friend Niki Hoover used to post when she was at CrossFit and then she invited me one Saturday morning and I went. Its like a drug and now I’m hooked like a lab monkey.

What training did you do before crossfit?

All the 80’s staples: step, mostly spin though.

How has crossfit impacted your life?

It has changed my life by giving me the confidence to do things I never imagined I could do. All things are possible.

What has been your most memorable experience at the gym?

So far anytime I can achieve a WOD doing RX I’m happy. Also, when I was finally able to do toes to bar.

What’s your favorite WOD or exercise?

I love a good tabata or any workout without running or overhead squats!

Do you have any advice for new crossfit members?

Don’t give up! EVER! This will be one of the best things you ever do for yourself.
