Coach Michael Breitenbach
Background
Over 20 years of coaching athletes (including two National Junior Weightlifting Champions) and physical education students in physical fitness specializing in training Olympic lifts. Mentored by Mike Burgener at start of teaching career in Olympic Lifting technique, periodization of training, and instructional techniques. Coach Breitenbach has established successful Olympic Weightlifting clubs in California and Oregon.
Accomplishments
– Nominated for the National High School Strength and Conditioning Coach
of the Year Award, National Strength and Conditioning Assn.
– Endorsed by Mike Burgener to teach strength and conditioning classes
at Cal Poly Physical Education Conference.
– Collaborated with Coach Burgener, Steve Kenyon, Sports Specific
Training, and Rich Tucker, former Fresno State strength and
conditioning coach, in developing volume/intensity training methods
for student athletes using the Olympic Lifts, plyometrics, functional strength,
etc...
